New Music Video: 30 Seconds to Mars – “Hurricane” Banned from TV
November 30th, 2010 | Stephen Vicino30 Seconds to Mars’s banned from TV 13 minute long music video for the song “Hurricane” off of This is War has been released!
“…nearly 40 violent and/or sexual images: “fight between gimp man and bystander,” “man grabs and squeezes lady’s breasts,” “couple in bondage gear and handcuffs,” and so on. Most of these are cited as reasons why “Hurricane” would be restricted to airing after 7 P.M., 9 P.M., or 10 P.M. One scene, whose description begins “woman’s finger running over other woman’s bottom in g-string,” is cited as “COMPLETELY RESTRICTED.” The band would have to remove this shot entirely for “Hurricane” to air even after 10 P.M.” – Ew.com

Jared Leto talked to EW about this issue:
Jared Leto wasn’t completely surprised when TV networks refused to air his band’s racy “Hurricane” video. “We always knew there would be some images that would have a tough time getting through,” says the Thirty Seconds to Mars singer, who called the Music Mix while driving to the band’s next gig in Brighton, England today. “But we didn’t expect this kind of pushback that we’re getting now.” -EW.com

Their music video style is unlike other bands, the videos themselves are almost like short films and are incredibly entertaining, interesting, and inspirational! If you have never seen one before your in for a treat! Enjoy =)
PS: This sadly is the “dulled” down version of the video, once we find the more intense version we will post it ASAP. If you want to see more videos, please visit their Blog here!
