| DIRECTV’s new documentary, “Gone Until December” today!
Producers are looking for songs from a wide variety of genres to place in a new documentary, “Gone Until December”, about the Billabong Women’s Surf team. Desired Genres: Ambient Electronic and Alt Rock (think from “Explosions in the Sky” and “Paul Okenfold”), Classic Punk Rock sound (Social Distortion, Circle Jerks, Dag Nasty), Acoustic driven music/melodic “folk” (think Dylan and Billy Bragg), melodic instrumental music featuring guitars, pianos and string instruments, and old school style hip-hop (Boogie Down Productions, Tribe Called Quest, etc.). Not interested in Country, Pop, and top 40 pop sounds. About “Gone Until December” The Billabong Women’s Surf team is the definition of that dream. With girls from Australia, California, Peru, Brazil, Hawaii and South Africa, Billabongs history is always made up of a diverse and dynamic group of women looking to add the next adventure to their resume. “Gone Until December” is a ten-part film series in breathtaking 3D (with a standard HD version available) that will take a first hand look at one of the top women’s teams as they go on a year long tour, session some of the most sought after waves, and explore the exotic locations that make up the compelling story that is “the surf life”. From major competitions to major destinations, this documentary series gives a front-seat view of what it’s like to be on the main stage in women’s professional surfing. Shot for, and to air on, DIRECTV. |
