INTRODUCES NEW GUITARIST!
Demon Hunter has officially listed the release date of their untitled 2012 album that they just finished recording in Seattle. The album will be what DH frontman Ryan Clark call “the bands most aggressive yet.” Telling fans that is is more of a return to the the true Demon Hunter styles of True Metal, Dark Metal and Balladry something that wasn’t quite missing from their 2009 release The World is a Thorn but also wasn’t prevalent. The band has recently stated their thoughts about the Metal scene in general saying that they were extremely underwhelmed by the quality and uniqueness of recent metal bands and projects. The new album is slated for release on April 10.
The new Demon Hunter project will be a return to longtime producer Aaron Sprinkle who has produced for Anberlin and Emery as well as mixer Jason Suecott who has mixed for All that remains and Tivium. The album is designed to play to the bands artistic and creative strengths and will most likely shy away from the progressive metal heard on their last two projects.
With this announcement Demon Hunter has also announced an addition to the line up as longtime friend of the band Jeremiah Scott will join them as a guitarist. Jeremy was a former bandmate of “Yogi” Watts (DH drummer) in the band The Showdown and has produced for the band Living Sacrifice, he is an established metal musician and we look forward to seeing him on the road this spring and fall.
