I still remember the first time I heard Sara’s voice, I was in Children’s choir at the baptist church I would eventually end up working as an AWANA leader/Media Ministry. Never in my life would I have guessed that a little over 10 years later I’d have the honor of introducing Sara Richardson to you as one of Christian Music’s new and upcoming talents.

Sara, now a college student, has a testimony that will break your heart, it moved me to tears on my radio show last year. She tells it better, but I will summarize. in 2003 at the age of 10 Sara was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer that developed in her leg, a diagnosis that turned her life upside down. She spent months in the hospital undergoing Chemotherapy and numerous surgeries until she was finally declared cancer free some years later. Sara’s debut album Living the Reward will be a collection of some of the things she’s learned as her relationship with Christ. The albums first single “Use Me” not only shows that Sara can still sing but showcases here piano playing skills as well. Based on the testimony of this amazing young woman Living the Reward may really be a good add to any collection.
