Fearless Records is proud to announce the Fearless Records Official SXSW Showcase 2012, presented by Peekseed and Tilly’s. Come rock out with five of Fearless’ featured artists – Breathe Carolina, Eve 6, Go Radio, Every Avenue, and Tonight Alive – at Fearless’ first SXSW showcase. The festivities kick off at 7pm at Dirty Dog Bar, Austin, TX on Friday, March 16, 2012. Additional support comes from Tyler Carter.
“Fearless has wanted to do a SXSW showcase forever, so this is very exciting for us,” notes Fearless Records President Bob Becker, “we’re looking for this to be a huge success and being the first of many.”
Formed in 1994, Fearless Records initially became known for launching the careers of respected punk rock acts such as Plain White T’s, At The Drive-In, The Aquabats, and Sugarcult. In recent years, the Huntington Beach, CA label has become an internationally-renowned hotbed for up-and-coming rock bands, including The Maine, Mayday Parade, Motionless In White,The Word Alive and Alesana, and for the successful Punk Goes… compilation series. The label’s current releases include Breathe Carolina’s single “Blackout”, climbing into the top 20 in the Top 40 radio charts, and multi-platinum act Eve 6′s new single “Victoria”, taken from their highly-anticipated album Speak In Code, set for release this April.
BREATHE CAROLINA – David Schmitt (Singer), Kyle Even (Scream/Vocals) – Armed with a killer live show and a hot single, the Denver duo will bring their dance party antics to the Lone Star state. The band received much praise on their new album Hell Is What You Make It including a nod from The New York Times when Jon Caramanica called the album “one of the year’s best pure pop albums.” The band spent 2011 touring the nation and performing arena shows with top shelf pop acts in support of their single “Blackout” which currently sits at #18 on the Billboard Top 40. Breathe Carolina will continue to tour the country with The Ready Set this spring.
EVE 6 – Max Collins (lead vocals, bass), Jon Siebels (guitar, backing vocals), Tony Fagenson (drums) – The multi-platinum pop-punk-rockers, Eve 6, are set to release their long awaited fourth studio album, Speak in Code, on April 24th, 2012. Speak in Code is the highly anticipated new release from the SoCal trio. The band enlisted the talents of legendary producer Don Gilmore (Pearl Jam, Dashboard Confessional, Good Charlotte, Linkin Park), who also worked on their debut album. Eve 6 first burst onto the scene in the late ’90s signing their first record deal as a group of high schoolers. Their breakout self-titled debut album went platinum with lead single, “Inside Out” hitting #1 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks list with “Leech” and “Think Twice” registering in the Top 10. Their nostalgic anthem “Here’s to the Night” from their follow-up album Horrorscope broke the top 30 on the Billboard Hot 100 with album-mate “Promise” cracking the Top 10.
GO RADIO – Jason Lancaster (vocals), Alex Reed (guitar/vocals), Matt “Burns” Poulos (bass/vocals), Steven Kopacz (drums) – Go Radio released the Lucky Street Deluxe Edition, featuring stunning fan-loved ballad “Goodnight Moon”, in fall 2011. The Deluxe Edition features un-released tracks, demos and a cover of Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep”.
The band is currently in the studio recording their anticipated second album, slated to release in the summer. Following previous runs with A Day To Remember and Seconhand Serenade, and a phenomenal summer on the Vans Warped Tour, the band will take the reigns to headline a full U.S. tour with support from There For Tomorrow and labelmates, Tonight Alive. Keep your eye on Go Radio as ones to watch in 2012.
EVERY AVENUE - David Ryan Strauchman (vocals), Jimmie Deeghan (guitar), Joshua Withenshaw (guitar), Matt Black (bass), Dennis Wilson (drums) – Giving their brand of euphoric rock a sharper, slicker edge, Every Avenue’s album Bad Habits solidifies their place in the next breed of strong contenders in pop rock. The album features the single “No One But You”, which received radio play in top markets across the country. Bad Habits sees the band lacing their infectious melodies with a glimpse of a darker side, embracing their next phase with the passion of a band truly defining their sound and making it their own. The band spent the duration of 2011 as part of the Vans Warped Tour, then alongside Yellowcard and Go Radio. Every Avenue are currently charming fans across the nation alongside We Are The In Crowd and There For Tomorrow, which kicked off earlier this week.
TONIGHT ALIVE – Jenna McDougall (vocals), Whakaio Taahi (guitar), Jake Hardy (guitar), Cam Adler (bass), Matt Best (drums) – Australia’s hottest pop-punk export Tonight Alive are capturing the hearts of music fans all across America with their debut full-length album, What Are You So Scared Of?. Tonight Alive quickly became the most talked about up-and-coming band of 2012, and they’re just getting started. The MTV Buzzworthy band from Sydney will arrive on U.S. shores in a few short weeks for a tour with Fearless labelmates, Go Radio, and then will charge into summer on the entire Vans Warped Tour.
