Album Preview: House of Heroes – Cold Hard Want

First Impressions

It’s hard to believe I used to really question the validity of House of Heroes. In fact in 09 I thought I was right when I heard that the band might break up because of line-up changes and such. But somehow the band has kept it together and managed to become one of the greatest acts in Christian Music History. With four full length albums under their belt as well as a Beatles cover under their belts it seems that House of Heroes is here to stay. I also didn’t understand how this album would make the most anticipated album lists, it certainly didn’t make mine, but it may be well worth it.

Yes Cold Hard Want, with only one and a half listens has caught me by the heart and has started pulling me in. I think the band has a nack for this actually as they have certainly established themselves. This album might be the one to take them to infinity and beyond. This album combines everything the band has done and puts it together, even featuring an acoustic ballad like what was found on The End is Not The End, to the rock found on other previous records and the pop rock that made up the fun and energetic Suburba.  Yes this could be the best yet from House of Heroes, I will definatly give this one my stamp of approval and say go pre-order it.
