This week’s band spotlight is with Jersey Pop Punk band, Major League. We had a chance to speak briefly with guitarist and vocalist Brian Joyce. This is some of what he had to say:

We asked for thoughts or influences about band name, musical style or upcoming album.

Brain said- I don’t think there was really any influences as far as the name went. I originally started ‘Major League’ as a Comeback Kid style band. We never really sat down and were like “We need to play pop punk” it was a mixture of Matt and I’s influences on guitar, with our old drummer and bassist style, and the fact that Nick is more of a clean vocalist, that we gravitated to this style.

With the upcoming album “Hard Feelings”; going into this record it was a lot of simplifying instrumentals to leave room for the vocals to play. All we listened to going into this was all of the records that got us into music in the first place.
