Writing Process with Starling GlowJanuary 6th, 2015 by Cameron Bartlett
What life experiences influenced your music?
Whenever I’m really worked up about something, the best way for me to process is to write it out. If I’m elated or enraged, it’s likely to end up in a song haha. :)

What’s your favorite thing about being a musician?
There’s two sides of it to me- I love music as a creative experience. There’s something indescribable about taking an idea and hearing it come to life with the band or in the studio. I also love that music has the ability to connect people like few other things can. One of my favorite parts of being a musician is interacting with fans and new friends from all over the world.
I love acoustic versions of songs. Did you have fun making Ignite – Acoustic?
It was a blast! What’s crazy is that from start to finish, we arranged and recorded the song in a matter of 2-3 hours… My producer and I kept going “let’s try this!,” “what about that?,” “what if we added this?”… And all of the sudden the song was done. I’m really pleased with how it came out. :)
What’s coming next from you?
We’re just adding a few final songs to the album and getting it ready for release in early 2015! :)
