Synopsis
If you are a long time fan of flyleaf, or someone new looking to catch up on your Flyleaf, this is a great blast from the past both redone in a fan-complimenting manor. For devoted fans, hearing old, fan-requested songs redone on a new album, is a dream come true. So to all of you committed Flyleaf supporters, hearing tracks like “Justice & Mercy” from the Much Like Falling EP or “Arise,” from the 2009 album Memento Mori, I’m sure is great. For new listeners, however, this album is not Flyleaf’s greatest. It’s a much softer side to this heavier, crunching guitar, yelling band. Though, some of the best songs produced by harder bands are their chill, aggression absent, much needed, restful songs. This album is full of these songs. So I certainly haven’t written it off. This is the needed EP release before front woman Lacey Sturm plans to take off some time to just be a mom. We look forward to and await Flyleaf’s return. For now, we will listen to and enjoy this unique EP album.

Cam’s Favorite
Though Justice & Mercy get’s stuck in my head, and Amy Says has such a great message, my favorite song on this album would have to be Light in Your Eyes simply for it’s triumphantly dynamic nature and faith revealing lyrics which show that even in all the craziness and band struggles that the most important thing they need is love. 1Corinthians 13 would agree.
