I have heard a lot of bands around the UK, small upcoming bands, or locals who want to make it into the music industry, and there are quite a lot that haven’t reached my full approval. Usually the musicians are really talented and it’s just the vocalists that seem to let the bands down.
That said, the UK band, Transcendency, seems to have all the qualities that are needed to make up a metal band. They formed in Summer, 2011. But not until January, 2012, were they fully complete with a full line up. I was surprised while listening to their E.P., which was only released this June. The track ‘Perseverence’ shows off the band’s talent the most; giving off some heavy drumming and perfect riffs, complete with low pitched growls joined in the right places with clean vocals.
Some bands take years or months to even begin to improve in their musical abilities and reach a stage in which they have a sense of professionalism in what they are doing. But I must say, for the stage Transendency is in now, it is really impressive.
