Concert Reviews Vans Warped Tour 2009

Score: 10/10

So we decided to give Warped Tour 2009 our first 10 for a lot of reasons which we will explain soon enough. There were sooo many bands it was impossible to see everyone, and we don’t have the patience to rate each band’s indivdual performance. So we are just going to describe the day in as much detail as possible. Starting off, we got there around about 12 and were very dissapointed because we missed Less Than Jake, who we were looking forward to seing. We checked out a lot of the bands, and it was raining lightly. But eventually the rain turned into a torrential downpour, getting everybody soaked. Everyone was covered in mud and sweat, and were very tired but it was so much fun that it didn’t even matter (and all the excitement around us kept us going). There was always something to keep us occupied and the music was for the most part incredible. Everything that was being sold was ridiculously overpriced but that’s to be expected, and we thought ahead and brought tons of food anyways so it didn’t matter. We left early and, contrary to our other experiences at the Comcast Center, actually got out very easily. We were very dissapointed because the last band we were going to see was Hit The Lights but there must have been an error in the showtimes because when we went to the stage they weren’t playing. That was frustrating but we didn’t let it ruin an otherwise amazing day. We left wet and tired, but also refreshed. There was a good diversity of styles of music, although it seemed like there was more hardcore stuff than anything else. Also, we wanted to do interviews but we found out we were going last minute and didn’t have time to put together enough questions to do one without it sucking really bad.

Alright so now your wondering, “If there was terrible weather, errors in show times, tons of smelly people, and overpriced food, then why the hell are you giving it a ten?”. And our answer is simple. It’s what Warped Tour is all about. It was a crazy experience that took a lot of energy to get through but at the end of the day you just have to go “Damn, that was awesome!!”. It was basically an entire day of fun and music and we would feel guilty giving it anything less than a 10.
